Renowned garden and event guru Renny Reynolds shares with you the history of his most famous garden project: his own gardens at Hortulus Farm in Wrightstown, PA. This project was a significant challenge in that the natural topography of the landscape had much to say in the ultimate design of the gardens. Renny's approach to his designs, however, is always to, first, "listen to the land" and what it tells you in terms of what is both feasible and appropriate, and then to plunge in with a judicious hand. Jack Staub - Sowing Goodness
This lecture pays tribute to the virtues of growing what you eat, not only for the good of body and soul, but for the good of the planet and our local farm economies as well. Touching on such controversial topics as use of pesticides, genetic modification, and the tyranny of big business over what appears on our plates, Jack Staub sings the praises of small family farming, global bio-diversity, and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), while sharing with you the classic techniques and educated tips that can turn any humdrum kitchen garden into a thing of beauty.
