Job Qualifications:

High School or GED required and some college preferred. Individual must have good communication skills and customer service skills, be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturday and Sunday, walk patrol 4 hours a day, ability to bend, stoop, and lift at least 50lbs without difficulty. First Aid and CPR certification strongly preferred.

 

Job Description:

•Responsible for the safety of the museum’s collection and visitors.

•Familiar with fire, safety and emergency policies and procedures.

•Perform daily inspections of building and art collection by looking for any change in obvious condition.

•Patrols zones during public hours assuring the collection is safe.

•Constantly monitors building conditions and reports any condition that may endanger visitors or art collection taking reasonable efforts to remove any immediate threat without injuring themselves or visitors.

•Observes any suspicious activity and report it to museum staff to take proper actions to safeguard visitors and collections while never putting themselves in danger.

•Familiarity with front desk procedures, cash register and credit card machine.

•Perform other duties as requested by the Facilities Manager and Human Resources Manager.
